World History: December 1-5 Weekly Work

While I am out you will have a number of things you will work on. Please follow all instructions in class and check back here for information to help you all keep on track.

BRING TEXTBOOKS TO CLASS EVERYDAY!! If there is time to spare work on Crossen Notes!! Chapter 11 - Due 12/12

Monday: Connecting Previous Unit With New One
  • Using the definitions of the new terms (on the back of the worksheet), try your best to come up with as many examples as you can think of to connect how Industrialization leads to this new period of Imperialism, Nationalism, & Colonialism...
Tuesday: Map Work!
  • Definitely will need textbooks & you will need to pay close attention to exactly what you will need to do!!!!
  • Use my colored pencils to complete this activity but put them all away when you are done
  • Also, don't forget to complete writing activity at the bottom IN YOUR NOTEBOOKS!!!!

Wednesday: Motives for Colonization -- PRINT OUT BEFORE CLASS

***IMAGES TO VIEW!! DOWNLOAD THIS ON YOUR PHONES!! IF YOU CAN'T SHARE WITH STUDENTS - Originals will be on the Big Table in plastic sleeves 
  • You will be analyzing images and text from the time period and identifying the motives for colonization in each one 
  • If you did not print out your own copy before class, copy down the chart on the handout!! I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH FOR ALL STUDENTS SO PLEASE DO NOT WRITE ON THE DOCUMENT -- hand in the original document at the end of class
  • Create a hand drawn symbol that represents each motive
  • Pay attention to the definitions of each motive as best you can!!
  • Remember: there will be more than one motive present in most of the images!!!
Friday: Catch up day & Crossen Notes....Sorry
  • If you had a hard time finishing up anything in class this week, make sure everything is done by the end of class
  • If you are caught up, work on Crossen Notes -- due next Friday 12/12
